Mechanical Maintenance Executive

1. Job Purpose

Responsible for Mechanical / Maintenance day-to-day operations supervision to ensure compliance, operational efficiency and that targets are met.

2. Job Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role,
• Good hands-on skills and mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Willingness to get hands dirty and work in a production environment.
• Able to work under tough and fast pace environments and willing to learn
• Able to be on call during rest day or after office hours and can work long hours (high commitment needed)

3. Job Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on milling equipment, conveyors, and other machinery. To support all breakdown maintenance jobs by working with external contractors and reporting the job status.
• Review and evaluate the potential requirements on equipment obsolescence and potential upgrading of equipment capability
• Identify and fix mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery, as well as upgrades to existing systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to increase equipment lifespan and reliability.
• Ensure all mechanical work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Lead and manage Maintenance mechanical technician in technical capability and competency, while instilling a highly effective and highly discipline workforce within a conducive team working environment, through daily inspection and daily opportunities for improvement/rectification.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated and tasks are completed on schedule to minimize downtime as well as maximize efficiency.
• Work closely with other departments, including production and quality control, to optimize operations.
• To perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by management from time to time.
