Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer

Our client is an established food brand, operating modern manufacturing and processing facilities with a strong focus on product quality and stable long-term operations.

They are seeking a practical, reliable Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer to support daily plant machinery upkeep, preventative maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting. This position offers a steady, day-shift working environment, regular hours, and strong job security.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections, and emergency repairs across plant machinery, automated systems, and conveyor lines.
• Perform mechanical adjustments, parts replacements, and tool changings to restore operational lines swiftly and minimize downtime.
• Assist engineering teams with the testing, alignment, and basic installation of incoming equipment; guide machine operators on safe daily handling and standard operation.
• Support general workshop and facility needs, including checking basic utility connections, building works, or cold storage/refrigeration units.
• Assist in tracking inventory for maintenance spare parts and tools, maintaining accurate service records in line with factory safety and hygiene guidelines.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, or Electronic Engineering.
• Min. 3 years of hands-on machinery maintenance, plant servicing, or mechanical troubleshooting experience (factory or manufacturing plant exposure is an advantage).
• Familiarity with CAD drawings is preferred; holding a valid Registration of Electrical Worker (Grade A or above) is a distinct advantage.
• Practical, safety-conscious, reliable, and keen on hands-on mechanical work within a stable industrial environment.
