Job Title: HVAC Mechanical Project Engineer

Primary Job function : Design mechanical H.V.A.C, plumbing, drainage for buildings and tenant improvements. Liaise with architects and provide design direction and review designers' drawings.

Essential Roles And Responsibilities

• Mechanical design for H.V.A.C, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems
• Organize and coordinate design staff to meet project deadlines.
• Drawing review and markup

Required Skills

• Mechanical engineering design for HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, drainage
• Extensive knowledge of building codes, energy codes, plumbing codes, fire codes, ASHRAE Standards
• Proficient in HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam
• Multi-tasker
• Thrive in a fast-paced working environment
• Good communicator
• Strong Intuitive and proactive manner with problem-solving mindset
• Ability to concentrate on multiple tasks
• Ability to review, interpret and apply building codes in different jurisdictions
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to identify potential risks and deal with them directly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience

• 5 - 10 years working experience in the building industry with a background planning and executing projects as part of a project team.
• A bachelor's degree/diploma in mechanical engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng), P.Tech, C.E.T. (10 years)
• Project Management Professional (P.M.P.) considered an asset
• Autodesk, REVIT, AutoCAD working knowledge and mentor team members/EIT
