Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Summary:
Join a dynamic engineering team supporting project delivery, technical service, and customer engagement for industrial equipment solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Engineering team in delivering technical solutions and contributing to business growth through product knowledge and professional engineering practices.
• Manage project lifecycles, including Bill of Materials (BOM) creation in SAP Business One, project coordination, commissioning, and after-sales support.
• Provide technical field assistance for equipment installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, and start-up activities.
• Prepare and submit customer field service reports following site visits and service assignments.
• Support customers and the sales team by providing technical advice, process information, and after-market sales assistance.
• Coordinate with customer service and purchasing teams to facilitate after-market sales activities and product deliveries.
• Conduct regular visits to prospective customers, existing customers, and agents to provide technical support and identify sales opportunities.
• Maintain and analyse records of opportunities, quotations, and customer contacts to support business development activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Ability to travel as required, with travel commitments of up to 30% to 50% annually.
• Proficiency in Mandarin language for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering involving manufacturing equipment or machinery is an added advantage.
• Experience with equipment used in animal feed, pellet, food processing, or related industries is an added advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One, is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is an added advantage.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor is an added advantage.
• Customer service, sales support, or project management experience is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
