What they need
We are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to lead and drive end-to-end mechanical engineering projects from concept to mass production. You will bridge technical mechanical design with project execution, ensuring mechanical systems and components meet performance, quality, timeline, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution: Drive mechanical project schedules, milestones, and deliverables from initial feasibility, design, validation, to mass production (NPI).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical point of contact between mechanical engineering, cross-functional teams, factory personnel, and external manufacturing partners to ensure seamless component integration.
Supplier & Schedule Management: Coordinate with suppliers for mechanical component procurement, evaluate toolings/materials, manage lead times, and ensure parts are delivered on schedule.
Design & Quality Governance: Oversee mechanical design reviews, feasibility studies, DFM/DFA, and reliability evaluations (using Creo knowledge to evaluate 2D/3D models and engineering trade-offs).
Root-Cause & Issue Resolution: Drive manufacturing teams and vendors to resolve complex mechanical root-cause issues, managing engineering changes (ECO/ECN) and line validation schedules.
Cost & Performance Optimization: Propose and implement strategic solutions for mechanical challenges to optimize BOM cost, enhance product reliability, and maintain performance standards.
What We Need to See:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in product development and factory manufacturing, with direct experience in mechanical project management or engineering leadership.
Technical Background: Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes (stamping, injection molding, CNC, etc.), and proficiency in evaluating CAD models (PTC Creo).
Communication & Management Skills: Fluent English (both written and spoken) with exceptional cross-functional communication, negotiation, and project tracking capabilities.
Problem Solving: Proven capability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and manage risk across development cycles.
