Mechanical Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to manage and oversee mechanical works across construction projects, from planning and design coordination through execution, testing, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

• Manage and coordinate all mechanical works throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, shop drawings, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project disciplines.
• Plan and monitor mechanical project schedules, manpower, materials, and resources.
• Supervise site mechanical activities and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, civil, architectural, and other MEP disciplines.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Oversee the installation of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, chilled water, ventilation, drainage, and other mechanical systems.
• Monitor project progress and ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers and monitor their performance and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor project costs, variations, material procurement, and resource requirements.
• Identify technical issues, project risks, delays, and coordination conflicts and implement corrective measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, and final handover of mechanical systems.
• Ensure mechanical installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Prepare and review progress reports, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Ensure proper implementation of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Lead and supervise mechanical engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with the client and consultant to resolve technical and project-related issues.
• Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, testing reports, and other handover documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 8 12+ years of experience in mechanical construction and project management, preferably with a construction or contracting company. Proven experience managing mechanical works on large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use projects. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, chilled water, ventilation, drainage, and other MEP systems. Strong understanding of mechanical construction methods, applicable codes, and industry standards. Experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents. Strong experience in coordinating mechanical works with other MEP and construction disciplines. Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management/scheduling software. PMP certification or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
