Mechanical Project Supervisor

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Mechanical Project Supervisor to oversee field project activities, ensuring that work is executed according to safety and health regulations, project plans, and specifications. This position will focus on supervising project activities, managing materials, ensuring safety compliance, and providing timely progress reports. The Mechanical Project Supervisor will report directly to the Project Manager and will not be responsible for overall team management but will play a key role in project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Supervise mechanical project activities in the field to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Compliance Management: Ensure all safety, health, and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to, and ensure the team follows safety protocols at all times.
• Material Management: Monitor the quality and quantity of materials used in the project, ensuring they meet the required standards. Request additional tools, materials, and safety equipment as needed to keep the project on track.
• Progress Reporting: Provide regular and accurate project progress updates using the Zoho Projects app, highlighting milestones, timelines, and identifying any potential delays or issues.
• Safety Oversight: Ensure that the brigade is operating within the safety guidelines and take corrective action when necessary to address any safety concerns.
• Documentation: Maintain daily logs, safety reports, material usage reports, and any other necessary documentation for project tracking and compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Civil) or, at least 3 years of proven experience as a Project Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role on field-based mechanical, electrical or civil projects.
• Required experience in fields such as: plumbing, industrial mechanics, electrical, electronics, light construction, and/or heavy equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installation processes, maintenance, engineering (mechanical/ electrical/ civil) processes, techniques, and materials.
• Proficient knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards within the mechanical industry.
• Proficiency in using Zoho Projects or similar project management software for reporting and tracking project progress.
• Ability to read and interpret project (mechanical, electrical, civil) plans, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to monitor multiple project activities simultaneously.
• Ability to ensure that team members are complying with safety standards and protocols.
• Relevant certifications in safety, project management, or mechanical systems are a plus.
• Sometimes, work will be carried out in, near or around unprocessed, dirty, and/or sewage water.
