Job Description – Mechanical R&D Engineer

1. Design and develop mechanical products, components, and systems based on customer and business requirements.
2. Create and modify 2D/3D mechanical drawings using CAD software.
3. Develop prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate product performance, functionality, and reliability.
4. Research and develop new products, materials, and mechanical solutions to improve product quality and performance.
5. Analyze design issues and provide appropriate engineering solutions to improve product functionality and manufacturability.
6. Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, and other relevant departments throughout the product development process.
7. Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other technical documentation.
8. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding prototypes, components, materials, and production requirements.
9. Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation before product release.
10. Continuously improve existing products and processes to reduce cost, improve quality, and enhance product performance.
11. Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards, specifications, and company requirements.
12. Perform other R&D and engineering duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, R&D, Product Development, or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical product design and development.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar programs.
• Good understanding of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Creative, proactive, and interested in developing new products and improving existing designs.
