Mechanical Resident Engineer (Hydromechanical)

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Resident Engineer to supervise the fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of Hydromechanical Systems for a major hydropower project. This position is intended for senior professionals with significant experience in hydraulic steel structures and water control equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead supervision activities for hydromechanical works.
• Review fabrication drawings, welding procedures, installation methodologies, and inspection plans.
• Monitor manufacturing, erection, and testing activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
• Review NDT results and fabrication quality records.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering recommendations.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and progress assessments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in hydropower projects, dams, or water infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in fabrication, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic steel structures.
• Experience in construction supervision roles is highly preferred.
