What they need
Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in hydraulic systems, especially Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) used on ships.
Role & responsibilities
- Install and commission HPUs and hydraulic systems onboard ships.
- Work with hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, manifolds, accumulators and piping.
- Perform pressure testing, leak testing, flushing and oil filling.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic problems and carry out repairs/servicing.
- Participate in FAT, IFAT, Harbour Trials and Sea Trials.
- Read and understand hydraulic circuit diagrams, P&IDs and mechanical drawings.
- Support mechanical equipment installation and alignment.
- Prepare service, inspection and commissioning reports.
- Coordinate with shipyard, electrical, PLC and other project teams.
Preferred candidate profile
- Mechanical Engineer with 35 years of hands-on experience in:
- Shipbuilding / Naval / Marine industry
- Hydraulic systems or HPU servicing
- Industrial hydraulics and hydraulic equipment
- Installation, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Shipyard or onboard vessel work
