Mechanical Services Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Services Engineer to join our Singapore team and contribute to the design and delivery of high-profile pharmaceutical and life sciences projects for leading global clients.

The role will suit a technically strong engineer with solid HVAC and building services design experience who enjoys working within multidisciplinary project teams and taking ownership of engineering solutions from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop HVAC and mechanical services designs across concept, schematic and detailed design stages.
• Prepare design briefs, engineering calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
• Perform cooling load calculations, system sizing and HVAC system modelling.
• Undertake hydraulic analysis and sizing of air and water distribution systems.
• Develop HVAC system schematics and design solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop Building Management System (BMS) architecture, specifications, control strategies and sequences of operation.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Support technical reviews and ensure designs meet project, client and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical building services design experience, preferably within an engineering consultancy or design environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and associated mechanical building services.
• Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and take ownership of assigned deliverables.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality engineering work.
