Mechanical - Site Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, pumps, and associated equipment
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications
• Manage mechanical quality assurance and quality control activities, including testing and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Liaise between the design team and on-site contractors to resolve technical issues and implement design solutions
• Prepare and maintain site reports, including daily logs, progress documentation, and defect registers
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and site safety protocols
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, etc.) to ensure integrated project delivery
• Conduct handover inspections and prepare mechanical systems for operational use
• Manage mechanical equipment deliveries, storage, and logistics on-site
• Support procurement activities by reviewing mechanical equipment specifications and documentation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 1–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Site Engineer or similar on-site mechanical engineering role
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping design, and mechanical equipment installation
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and project management principles
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication and coordination skills with ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Competency in using project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work full-time on-site
• Professional membership or certification with an engineering body (desirable)
• Experience with large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects (preferred)
