Mechanical Site Inspector

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Inspector to join our site supervision team for building construction projects.

The candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical works at site and ensuring that installation, workmanship, materials and testing are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and consultant requirements.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• DAE Minimum in Mechanical Engineering, additional qualification will be more favorable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction/site supervision, preferably on major building projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of:
• HVAC and chilled-water systems
• Air-conditioning and ventilation systems
• Ductwork installation
• Chilled-water piping
• Plumbing and drainage systems
• Domestic water supply systems
• Fire-fighting piping and associated mechanical services
• Pumps, valves and mechanical equipment installation
• Ability to read and interpret approved shop drawings, coordination drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Experience in carrying out site inspections against approved Inspection Requests / WIRs.
• Ability to verify materials and equipment against approved material submittals.
• Experience in monitoring installation quality, workmanship and compliance with approved drawings.
• Familiarity with pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, equipment installation checks and mechanical testing & commissioning activities.
• Ability to identify non-compliant work and prepare inspection comments, punch lists and snag lists.
• Good understanding of MEP coordination with electrical, architectural, structural and civil works.
• Ability to maintain proper inspection records and follow up closure of site observations and non-conformities.
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate professionally with contractors, subcontractors and consultant engineers.
