To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Mechanical Technical Support Engineer located in Dundalk, Ireland .

Role Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager (LV), the Technical Support Engineer will work as part of a cross-functional team acting as the primary POC for production and site support requests ordering material or escalating where necessary.
• Coordinating with the Technical Support Engineer (Electrical), ensuring alignment on any deliverables and timelines.
• Assemble document packages and develop drawing sets, MOP’s and BOM’s for review.
• Escalating support requests to Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, Supply Chain or compliance team as needed.
• Communicate progress on design plans and design deliverables to the Mechanical Design Engineering Manager (LV).
• Driving the development and continuous improvement of the processes and controls related to the Engineering support function.

Requirements:

• BEdegree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a highly related Discipline with minimum 3 year's experience in similar environment.
• Previous experience of Mechanical Design of Low Voltage equipment, such as power distribution, packaged substations or switchgear, would be considered advantageous, as would the knowledge & understanding of other electrical systems.
• Demonstrated success working to prescribed standards.
• Experience with Solid Works or similar CAD software.
• Have Clear and effective written/verbal communications skills, with an emphasis on documenting details and sharp eye for detail.
• A willingness to learn how to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English language skills and eligible to work in Ireland (EU).
• Willingness to travel if required.

Experience & Skills:

• Strong technical skills and proven experience in Mechanical & Electrical product engineering.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and test procedures.
• Advanced CAD skills.
• Sheet metal design.
• Design for Manufacturing/Design for Assembly.
