Ready to be the plant’s go-to problem solver?

Our Ogden, UT site needs a fully onsite Mechanical Systems Technician who thrives on keeping complex equipment running. You’ll report to the Supervisor of Maintenance and work closely with the central maintenance shop to ensure machines perform at their best.

Why this role matters

  • You’ll keep tools, machinery, process equipment, and systems operating at peak efficiency through installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Your craftsmanship will prevent downtime and protect people, product, and performance.

What you’ll do

  • Interpret blueprints and drawings to install and repair mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance: inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and maintain accurate PM records.
  • Service and rebuild pumps, valves, blowers, compressors, vessels, conveyors, and related mechanical process assets.
  • Fabricate parts and components; operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other machinist tools.
  • Lead root-cause troubleshooting; replace/repair failed components to restore function quickly.
  • Sustain the lubrication program using appropriate oils and greases.
  • Work safely with systems involving acids and alkalines; fiberglass; plastic and metal piping, fittings, and materials; and metal melting/fabrication equipment.
  • Use hand tools (manual and power), material handling equipment, and gas/electric arc welding equipment competently.
  • Coordinate tasks with the central maintenance shop; collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers.
  • Periodically direct lower-classified craftsmen and train others as assigned.
  • Follow all safety requirements and maintain a clean, organized work area—return tools, materials, and references to designated spots.
  • Remain flexible: core duties are listed, but additional tasks may be assigned.

What you need to succeed

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years of mechanical craft experience, with at least three (3) years in mechanical industrial maintenance.
  • Relevant trade/technical school education in industrial mechanical maintenance may satisfy part of the experience requirement.
