Mechanical / Technical Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a versatile and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role combines hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, 3D CAD design using SolidWorks, and technical support. You will be responsible for machine maintenance, inventory management, and providing technical support both locally and across the APAC region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands-on mechanical repair, maintenance, and servicing of machinery both in-house and on-site at customer locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical machine faults and read simple schematic drawings.
• Provide prompt technical support via email, WhatsApp, phone, and video calls.
• Design components, create assemblies, and generate detailed production drawings using SolidWorks.
• Assist in the installation of Storopack machines and/or accessories overseas.
• Travel within the APAC region as needed, occasionally on short notice.
• Manage warehouse stock levels and parts inventory.
• Handle order packing and shipping preparations.
• Utilize basic IT knowledge and internal software.

About you

• Degree or High Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Proficient in SolidWorks (part modeling, assembly design, and detailing output).
• Solid practical experience in mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, and field service.
• Basic IT proficiency and comfort navigating desktop software.
• Willingness to travel across the APAC region, including short-notice trips.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting during warehouse inventory handling and equipment maintenance.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, clear communication style, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
