Mechanical Technical Support Specialist

About the Role
Microtec USA is hiring a Technical Support Specialist to help our customers get the most out of their industrial heat press machines and related equipment. You’ll support customers before and after the sale: getting new machines set up and running, solving technical problems, and coordinating service when it’s needed. We provide full on-the-job training on our equipment.

This role is a great fit for people with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Years of hands-on experience aren’t required. What matters most is solid technical fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly. Mandarin Chinese is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer questions and provide technical support by phone, email, and video call
• Walk customers through equipment setup, daily operation, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose problems with mechanical parts, pneumatic systems, and basic electrical wiring
• Coordinate replacement parts, repairs, and warranty claims
• Work with internal teams and our manufacturing facility to resolve more complex issues
• Keep clear, accurate records of service cases and related documents
• Travel to customer sites from time to time when on-site help is needed

Qualifications

• Technical background in industrial machinery, mechanical or electrical systems, or a similar area
• Able to read wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
• Basic troubleshooting skills across mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Eager to learn and grow with the training we provide
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs, with or without assistance
• Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred

• Degree or coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Mandarin Chinese language skills

Work Environment

• On-site, mostly office-based, with some remote technical support
• Occasional travel
• Collaborative, team-focused workplace
