Mechanical Technician

1. Carry out mechanical installation, assembly, dismantling and commissioning of production equipment.

2. Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of biscuit production lines and auxiliary equipment.

3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems in conveyors, mixers, sheeters, laminators, cutters, ovens, cooling conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and other machinery.

4. Carry out inspection and replacement of bearings, seals, belts, chains, couplings, rollers and other mechanical components.

5. Perform lubrication activities according to the approved maintenance schedule.

6. Assist in machine alignment, levelling and mechanical adjustment during installation and maintenance.

7. Support OEM service engineers during installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.

8. Assist European vendors/OEMs during machine installation, maintenance and commissioning activities.

9. Follow OEM manuals, maintenance instructions and approved SOPs.

10. Support maintenance activities for compressors, pumps, chillers, boilers, thermic fluid systems and other plant utilities.

11. Report abnormal equipment conditions, leaks, vibration, noise, overheating and other mechanical defects.

12. Maintain proper maintenance records, checklists and breakdown reports.

13. Follow LOTO, permit-to-work, PPE and other safety requirements.

14. Maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with food-industry GMP requirements.

15. Participate in RCA, Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.

16. Support emergency breakdown maintenance and minimize production downtime.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of relevant industrial mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in biscuit, bakery, FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Experience in machine installation and commissioning will be an advantage.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
