Mechanical Technician

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to perform installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of rotating and static mechanical equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, fans, gearboxes, valves and associated piping systems, in facilities and plant environments in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, predictive and breakdown maintenance on pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, gearboxes, cooling towers and associated equipment
• Perform dismantling, inspection, overhaul, alignment (laser/dial) and reassembly of rotating equipment
• Replace bearings, seals, couplings, belts, impellers and other wear parts to OEM specifications
• Inspect and maintain piping, valves, strainers and mechanical fittings; identify and rectify leaks
• Carry out vibration checks, lubrication routines and condition monitoring readings
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of new mechanical equipment
• Work under permit-to-work, LOTO and confined-space procedures where applicable
• Complete job cards, maintenance logs and equipment history records accurately

Qualifications and Experience

• ITI / Diploma (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within facilities, utilities, oil & gas or industrial plants; GCC experience preferred
• Competence with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments and alignment tools
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs and equipment manuals
• Safety certifications (confined space, working at height, first aid) are an advantage
• Willingness to work in shifts, on-call rotation and outdoor conditions where required
• Good command of English (spoken and written); Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environment (HSE) practices
• Available for immediate joining – preference will be given to candidates currently in Qatar with a transferable visa / NOC
