Mechanical Technician

Mechanic

CEG Ltd. is looking for a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing a variety of equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on equipment and vehicles.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and determine the appropriate repairs.
• Complete repairs and maintenance efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Inspect equipment for safety and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Communicate with supervisors and operators regarding equipment condition and repair requirements.
• Assist with other shop and field maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a mechanic, heavy-duty mechanic, equipment mechanic, or similar role.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment is an asset.
• Ability to read and understand service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Journeyperson certification or relevant technical training is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with additional hours as required
