As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a vital role in our production facility by transforming technical designs into high-quality finished products. You will utilize your mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to ensure every unit meets our rigorous performance standards, directly contributing to the reliability of our electrical infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex blueprints and technical diagrams to assemble intricate switchgear components with precision.
• Execute quality control inspections to identify and rectify discrepancies, ensuring all products meet engineering specifications.
• Maintain a high standard of workplace organization and cleanliness to optimize production efficiency.
• Actively participate in safety initiatives and adhere to all industrial protocols to foster a secure work environment.
• Utilize hand and power tools to perform mechanical tasks, ensuring consistent output and structural integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline assembly processes and improve overall manufacturing workflows.

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and utilizing measurement tools, including tape measures and decimal/fraction conversions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience assembling switchgear or similar electrical equipment.
• Technical certifications related to industrial safety or mechanical assembly.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving production processes.
