MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

1. Responsible for the smooth and safe operation of plant equipment and to perform preventive maintenance task for machines regarding mechanical components.
2. Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.
3. Installing new production equipment.
4. Perform welding and workshop related work.
5. Prepare sketch of mechanical drawings.
6. Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
7. Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
8. Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
9. Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
10. Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
11. Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.
12. Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulation e.g. SOP, Safety and Health.
13. Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics and procedures and follow them with precision is extremely important.
14. Record and document all work carried out on all equipment on both paper and Microsoft Excel.
15. Work with the team and other department members to produce effective maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
16. Ensuring that the quality and environmental management system conforms to the requirement of ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015.
17. Implementation and Management of Safety, 5S & ISO

a)      Follow all safety procedures & regulations and ensure safe work environment.

b)      Implement and participate actively in 5S activities for the Department & Organization.

c)      Support other key strategic 5S programs where necessary.

d)      Adhere to ISO standards compliance.

1. Any other duties as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

a)      Min Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent.

b)      Preferable working experience in manufacturing environment

c)      Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

d)      Able to read engineering drawings.
