Mechanical Technician

Our Guardian Safety Bandsaws have been in service worldwide since 2018 and is the first bandsaw globally with a zero-accident track record. Unlike a regular bandsaw, Guardian Safety Bandsaws are sophisticated machines which utilise computer vision to rapidly release stored energy – stopping saw blades in tens of milliseconds and preventing injury to the user.

What’s the Role?

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Production Line team.

• Safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and workshop machinery to complete assembly tasks.
• Install, align, fit, and adjust mechanical components to ensure machines meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and work with wider teams to resolve technical problems.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process and rectify any defects or non-conformances identified.

Who are you?

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on mechanical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to understand how machinery, equipment, and components operate and work together.
• Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify faults and implement practical solutions.
• High level of attention to detail, consistently producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Quality-focused, with a strong commitment to checking and verifying work to ensure standards are met.
• A collaborative team player who communicates effectively and works well with others in a production environment.
• Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work across different machines, products, and processes while quickly learning new tasks.
• Physically fit and capable, able to perform the manual aspects of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting components
• Excellent knowledge of H&S protocols.
