If you have a servant heart and a passion for hospitality, joining the Ridgecrest team could be your opportunity to make a difference.

Job Summary:

Our Mechanical Technicians work to provide a clean, healthy, safe, and well-maintained environment for conference center guests through preventative maintenance and repair of boilers, hot water systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems. Technicians are cross trained; however, not all skills require experience. This role supports Ridgecrest’s mission of impacting lives for God’s glory through purposeful hospitality.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Night and weekend shift on a scheduled rotation (generally once every 6 to 8 weeks). In addition, in the event of an emergency, a call back may be required.

Requirements

  1. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and replacement of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and environmental control systems with limited supervision.
  2. Operate and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and energy management systems to support proper indoor air quality, temperature, efficiency, and comfort.
  3. Use diagnostic tools, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to identify and resolve routine and moderately complex system and equipment issues.
  4. Test and inspect newly installed or repaired systems to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
  5. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and accurately document repairs, inspections, equipment conditions, and work performed.
  6. Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and supplies in a clean, safe, organized, and operational condition.
  7. Identify issues requiring additional expertise, replacement, or outside service and communicate recommendations to the appropriate supervisor.
  8. Assist with planning and coordinating maintenance projects, including tasks, materials, resources, and timelines.
  9. Provide guidance and assistance to Technician 1 team members and other team members as needed.
  10. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, taking appropriate action to protect people, property, equipment, and the guest experience.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments regarding maintenance needs, work status, equipment issues, and potential impacts to guests or operations.
  12. Perform all work safely and in accordance with applicable laws, codes, regulations, manufacturer specifications, and Ridgecrest standards.
  13. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Technical training or coursework in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical systems, energy management, or a related field preferred.
