Mechanical Technician / Machinist

We are currently looking for a proactive and passionate Machinist / Set-up Technician, someone who is interested in growing with Dot Automation Inc. This position will be off-site, at the customer - applicant must be able to travel with a valid G license.

Skill set should include:

• Methodical in assembly and disassembly of machines - drilling, tapping, machining, wiring & tubing
• Ability to travel to customers for service calls and servicing the customer as required
• Participate in installing, repairing and maintaining of machinery
• Ability to read drawings and identify potential problems
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues on projects
• Performance of regular PM on machines used
• Ability to work in a safe manner
• Maintenance of shop floor with 5S principals
• Must be detail oriented, working in a fast-paced environment

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• 2-3 years of technical experience
• 2-3 years of FADAL CNC experience - CNC Machine
• 2-3 years of machining experience - Milling Machine
• College Degree Preferred or Trade Certification
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Thorough knowledge of GD&T
• Uninhibited ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and grasp
• Must have own tools
• Must have valid Ontario driver's license
• Forklift License is an asset
