Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute test strategies for non-active medical devices, with a strong focus on orthopedic and dental implants.
• Use CAD software (Solidworks or UG) to design and build fixtures and test setups
• Act as a technical liaison with customers from initial contact to test report delivery, ensuring excellent client experience throughout the testing process
• Optimize and maintain existing test setups; develop new setups for advanced orthopedic testing
• Develop, maintain, and update internal lab operating procedures
• Ensure compliance with ASTM/ISO standards and internal quality procedures
• Revise existing and create new quality management documents
• Coordinate technicians and assistants during test execution
• Prepare engineering estimates to support quoting and budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields, Master’s degree preferred
• Three years of engineering experience related to mechanical design and testing
• Experience in medical device testing is highly desirable
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 and regulated environments
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver excellent customer experience
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving testing requirements
• Ideally, you already have experience in working in a regulated environment (QM experience) and/or with normative (testing) procedures
