Mechanical Welder

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Welder to join our clients’ teams. This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder with mechanical fabrication experience who is looking for ongoing work and career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG and/or ARC welding.
• Weld and fabricate mechanical components and structures.
• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Fit, assemble and weld components accurately.
• Measure, cut, grind and prepare materials for welding.
• Carry out repairs, modifications and general fabrication work.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Use workshop tools and machinery safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Welder/Fabricator.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Experience working with steel and other metals.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant welding or fabrication qualification is an advantage.
• Reliable and safety-focused attitude.
