Mechanical Workshop Fitter

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Workshop Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our growing workshop team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys working on heavy equipment, fault-finding, and carrying out repairs to a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on cranes and mechanical equipment
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
• Replacing worn or damaged components
• Working from engineering drawings and manufacturer information
• Completing inspection and maintenance reports
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Working independently and as part of a strong workshop team

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Maintenance, Plant Mechanics, or similar
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance or workshop fitting
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Comfortable working at height when required

Desirable

• CSCS Gold Card – Plant Maintenance/Fitter
• Experience working on cranes, plant, or heavy equipment
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings
• hydraulic experience
