Mechanical/Electrical Technician

CEIS Power is seeking experienced mechanical/electrical technicians with hands-on experience in industrial equipment, electrical assembly, mechanical work, or control panel installation. This position is on a contract-to-hire basis, and our client, a leading power generation manufacturing and service company, is looking for motivated individuals to support an urgent generator rework project. The ideal candidates will be comfortable using hand and power tools, installing electrical and mechanical components, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment, electrical assembly, mechanical work, or control panels.
• Experience installing cable trays, wire ducts, wiring, panels, or related components preferred.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience with diesel generators, oil and gas equipment, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to work independently and contribute immediately with minimal training.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities The right person for this position will be responsible for the following:

• Perform rework on generator units to prepare them for customer delivery.
• Install wire ducts, cable trays, and related electrical components.
• Align and adjust generator doors and install grounding studs.
• Reroute cables, wiring, and hoses as required.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical modifications to generator assemblies.
• Identify and address installation issues while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Support additional manufacturing, testing, or troubleshooting tasks as needed.
