Mechanically inclined, Honest, Self-motivated- Locksmith / Access control Trainee / Apprentice

Entry level trainee position to learn various aspects of the physical security trades including, locksmithing, door and door hardware, safes, electronic access control

Some crossover with shipping and receiving UPS orders and ordering replenishment stock.

Job Responsibilities

· Work with experienced technicians in shop to learn basic locksmithing skills

· Complete select online training classes as directed

· Attend classroom training classes both at company facility and offsite facilities

· Work with experienced technicians in the field to observe and learn applications and perform technical tasks as directed

Skills

· Mechanical aptitude is a must

· Basic math skills

· Basic PC and iPad abilities

· Valid drivers license and ability to operate service van

· Able to work overhead

· Able to utilize step or extension ladder

· Able to lift up to 75 pounds

· Able to pass background check- criminal, credit and DMV

· Customer service skills and ability to interact positively with commercial and residential customers

· English fluency

Experience

· None required, however the following are pluses:

• Using hand or power tools

• Experience in any trade

• Customer service

• Stable work history
