Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Drawing Interpretation: Analyze and accurately interpret complex mechanical product drawings, detailed layouts, and engineering specifications.
• BOM Management: Work out comprehensive and accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) based on detailed product drawings to ensure all necessary components are accounted for.
• Production & Quality Follow-Up: Monitor the production process closely, balancing output speed with strict adherence to product quality standards.
• CAD Design & Innovation: Utilize CAD software to invent, modify, or improve mechanical parts, enclosures, and components for better manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
• Production Support: Act as the technical bridge between the design and production teams, troubleshooting assembly issues and ensuring smooth fabrication on the shop floor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar 2D/3D modeling tools).
• Proven ability to read, understand, and interpret detailed technical drawings and mechanical layouts.
• Solid understanding of generating and managing Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with sheet metal fabrication or switchboard manufacturing is a strong advantage).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to resolving shop-floor engineering challenges.
