Mechanic/PLC Programmer

In addition to satisfying the requirements of Mechanic I, the applicant must be able to maintain electrical/electronic systems, read control schematics, and utilize PLC ladder logic to troubleshoot systems.

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical/electronic systems and equipment:

• Building HVAC and lighting
• Manufacturing/process equipment
• Automated conveyor and packaging equipment
• Robotic cells
• Industrial communications networks

Read, understand, and redline wiring schematics and system drawings.

Installation and inspection of electrical conduit, raceway, and busbar systems, per electrical codes. Pull wire and terminate.

Adjust parameters in machines, VFDs, and servos using built-in faceplate/HMI interface

Troubleshoot and adjust (PLC) Programmable Logic Control programs.

Mechanically/Electrically tune and troubleshoot equipment for proper operation.

Inspection of all operating parts to ensure proper operation within expected tolerances.

Repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components using standard hand tools, gauges, and procedures.

Determine tools and equipment required to perform scope of job.

Assemble, align, and install equipment as necessary.

Clearly and professionally interact with internal personnel and external contractors.

Pay: $42.80 - $44.25 per hour
