Mechanic/Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of mechanical systems. The Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve workshop efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanical engineering are advantageous.
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
