Job Title: Mechanist

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Contract: 12 Months

Job Purpose Responsible for operating manual lathes and milling machines and performing machining operations such asturning, boring, threading, facing, cutting, shaping, and drilling.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture and modify metal parts.
• Perform turning, boring, threading, facing, cutting, shaping, and drilling operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure proper operation.
• Follow all safety procedures and applicable OSHA standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and replace machine components when required.
• Prepare materials and tools for machining operations.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and production.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.Key Skills
• Strong knowledge of manual lathe and milling machine operations.
• Good mechanical and machining skills.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of machine maintenance and safety procedures.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI certification in Metal Machining, Lathe Operation, or equivalent training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in machining/lathe operations.
• Proven experience operating lathe machines.
• Experience with milling machines is preferred.
