Mechatronics Application R&D & Validation Engineer

Role Purpose: Bridge mechanical/mechatronics engineering scenarios and the software R&D team by translating real engineering workflows into R&D requirements, validation models, and quantifiable technical evaluation methods, supporting the path from algorithm prototypes to usable products.

Key Responsibilities

· Study practical problems in mechanical design, mechatronics systems, assembly processes, or digital R&D workflows, and distill software feature requirements and engineering constraints.

· Build representative models, operating conditions, and validation data for 3D CAD, assembly planning, harness design, interference/clearance analysis, or robot digital-twin R&D.

· Participate in validation design for new algorithms and features; analyze engineering reasonableness, boundary conditions, failure modes, and improvement directions.

· Develop repeatable validation workflows using scripts, CAD APIs, or test tools; drive standardization of test data and evaluation methods.

· Work with software engineers to localize geometry, data, performance, and engineering-rule issues, and verify fixes.

· Write requirement specs, test/experiment logs, engineering evaluation reports, and user-scenario descriptions to provide R&D evidence for product iteration.

· Participate in necessary technical exchanges and internal demos during R&D, without this being primarily after-sales support, sales, or routine acceptance testing.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Control, Electronic Engineering, or another relevant STEM field.

· Familiar with at least one of: mechanical design, assembly, mechatronics systems, or manufacturing processes.

· Proficient in at least one mainstream 3D CAD package, with understanding of parts, assemblies, engineering drawings, or product structure data.

· Rigorous experiment/test design ability; able to clearly record problems, reproduction conditions, and verification conclusions.

· Basic understanding of software development; willing to learn Python, C++, CAD APIs, or automated testing tools.

Preferred Qualifications

· Used CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, NX, Creo, DELMIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, or ZW3D.

· Experience with Python, VBA, C#, C++, or CAD customization.

· Project experience in robotics, motion control, virtual commissioning, harness design, large assemblies, or digital twins.

· Experience in software test development, model quality inspection, design-rule automation, or engineering data governance.

· Able to read technical materials in English; good Cantonese or English communication skills.
