Med Tech

ActivCare Yorba Linda, a residential memory care community, is looking for a detailed-oriented Med Tech who will carefully monitor vital signs and assist t with prescription medications per doctors’ orders to our memory care residents.

Med Tech is a full-time position.

Med Tech Responsibilities include:

• Med Tech is responsible for pouring, passing medication, documentation and reordering of medications.
• Able to keep precise records about dosage and frequency of medication distribution via electronic documentation through QuickMar.
• With careful observation, the Med Tech will monitor resident responses and document unexpected reactions with meticulous notes.
• Maintain each resident’s dignity and personal safety and report changes in condition.
• The Med Tech works with on-site nurses, the executive director, caregivers, and medical personnel as an advocate for the community’s residents.
• Communicates openly with other staff members at shift changes and attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.

Requirements:

• Experience working as Medication Technician.
• CPR certification.
• Detail-oriented and calculated in your work.
• Must attend mandatory in-services and work weekends and holidays.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old and must be able to pass an English proficiency test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and have reliable transportation.
