Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Tech/RA (Medication Technician/Resident Assistant) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

• Assist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication records in electronic health record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report any abnormalities promptly to nursing staff
• Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, and memory care routines
• Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems, ensuring compliance with state healthcare regulations and accurate medical records management
• Practice safe manual handling techniques during resident transfers or heavy lifting tasks to prevent injury and ensure safety for both residents and staff
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of senior care best practices is essential
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus
• Familiarity with Point Click Cares systems like Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation
• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining resident confidentiality at all times
• Physical ability to perform tasks involving heavy lifting and manual handling safely
• Excellent caregiver communication skills to foster trust and provide compassionate resident personal care assistance
• Knowledge of Florida Statue requirements for Med Techs or Resident Assistants is necessary for compliance

Pay: $15.75 - $17.00 per hour
