What they need

Be STEM Ready | Subang Jaya, Selangor | Internship | RM500 to RM600 per month

We teach STEM to schoolchildren, and we have been doing it since 2012. We also run CIPTRIX, a robotics, drone and AI competition. In October its international round brought teams from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and the Philippines to MMU Cyberjaya, and RTM reported on it.

Most of that never made it onto our own pages. We had about eighteen seconds of phone video from a three-day championship. This role exists so the next one is filmed properly.

You would be the person with the camera at our classes and competitions, the one who turns a Saturday of robots and drones into posts people actually stop for, and the one who writes the caption. You don't need professional gear or a finished portfolio. What we look at is whether you can find the moment worth filming, and whether you can tell the story of a ten-year-old's first working robot in a few lines.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Film and photograph our weekend classes, competition days and events

  • Edit short videos and photo posts for our Facebook and Instagram pages

  • Write the captions, in plain English that a parent reads to the end

  • Help promote the TechnoXian World Cup 10.0, which comes to MMU Cyberjaya from 30 January to 2 February 2027, including calling and messaging universities and secondary schools to invite their teams

  • Keep a simple record of what we posted and what people responded to, so the next post is better

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A Malaysian student in a diploma or degree programme. Media, communication, marketing or design are the obvious fits, but show us what you have made and that will matter more than the course name.

  • Two or three things you have filmed, edited or designed, even if they were for a class project or your own account

  • Comfortable working in English. Bahasa Malaysia helps when calling schools.

  • Available for at least 16 weeks, starting in November or December 2026, including some weekends, because that is when classes and competitions happen

THE DETAILS

  • RM500 per month for diploma students, RM600 per month for degree students

  • At least 16 weeks, starting in November or December 2026

  • Based at our centre in Taipan Business Centre, Subang Jaya, with event days at competition venues such as MMU Cyberjaya

  • On-site. The stories are in the room.

This placement is supported by TalentCorp's LiKES internship grant, which requires interns to be Malaysian, to register on the MyNext platform, and the placement to run at least 16 weeks. That is why we can't take international students on this placement.

Be STEM Ready is licensed by the Ministry of Education Malaysia and holds International Accreditation by STEM.ORG, USA.

Pay: RM500.00 - RM600.00 per month
