About the role

Join Precinct Medical Limited, a leading provider of healthcare services, as a part-time Medical Administrator based in Christchurch Central Canterbury. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our medical facility, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of service.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments
2. Greet and welcome patients, guiding them through the check-in process
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
4. Assist with the processing of insurance claims and billing
5. Provide general administrative support to the medical team as required
6. Ensure the reception area and clinic are well-organised and presentable

What we're looking for

1. Experience as a medical administrator or in a similar healthcare administrative role would be advantageous but not essential
2. Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
5. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
6. Able to learn new computer systems
