Medical Assistant

Purpose : Assist medical and nursing staff in providing an excellent client experience.

Job Duties:

• Assist medical providers and nursing staff daily.

• Perform point of care testing.

• Record vital signs & assessment flow sheets.

• Maintain detailed records in EMR systems.

• Assisting with routine checks and diagnostic testing by collecting and processing specimens.

• Monitor supplies regularly and submit orders in a timely manner.

• Monitor patients in clinical care for current needs, adherence to policies & procedures, and clinical or medical related issues.

• Assist with observing medications as needed.

Education and Experience and/or Certification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• CPR, First Aid/AED certification (provided by Freeman, if needed) required.

• CNA or MA certification preferred.
