Medical Assistant – Full-Time Float Position

• Medical Associates of the Shoals is looking for a FullTime Float Medical Assistant to join our team and provide support across all four of our locations.

This position is perfect for an MA who likes a fast-paced environment, enjoys meeting new people, and can easily shift gears when the needs of the practice change. Instead of being assigned to just one office, you’ll have the opportunity to work with **different providers, coworkers, and patient populations throughout our practices.**

A Day in the Life

Your day may look different from one location to the next. Responsibilities may include:

• Taking vital signs and obtaining patient histories
• Assisting providers during office visits and procedures
• Administering injections and performing other clinical duties within your scope
• Collecting and preparing lab specimens
• Preparing exam rooms and keeping clinical areas stocked and ready
• Answering patient questions and providing appropriate instructions
• Completing accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks
• Helping offices maintain an efficient patient flow
• Stepping in to provide coverage wherever your skills are needed
• Working closely with providers, nurses, other MAs, and frontoffice staff

What Makes a Great Float MA?

• Has a current MA certification or applicable clinical experience
• Has previous medical office experience preferred
• Is comfortable adapting to different office routines and provider preferences
• Can confidently walk into a new environment and get to work
• Builds positive relationships with patients and coworkers
• Is dependable, professional, and willing to travel between our four locations
• Pays attention to the details while keeping up with a busy day
• Knows how to prioritize and stay organized
• Works well independently and as part of a team
