Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness, and organize necessary supplies for various procedures.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, medication lists, and ICD coding for diagnoses.
• Support patient service activities by answering questions, providing education on treatments or medications, and coordinating follow-up appointments.
• Conduct medical documentation tasks including recording vital signs, updating medical records, and maintaining compliance with privacy regulations.
• Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Hands-on experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments preferred

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
