This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in fast pace Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine practice clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare provider with patient examination and procedures. Ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient appointments.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vitals, record medical history, record medications in patient's electronic chart.
• Perform procedures such as Spirometry and Walk Test.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, medications and treatment notes.
• Support front office staff by answering phones as needed. scheduling tests such as CT scan or other procedures. verifying insurance information, maintaining medical records in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Provide assistance with maintaining Sleep Lab schedule, follow procedures assistance in conducting Sleep Studies.
• Perform any other tasks as needed, for patient care, assigned by Physician or Office Manager.
• Experience
• One year prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a Medical Office.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Course. Certification in Medical Assisting is a plus.
• Working experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClnical Works etc.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) ; additional certifications related to medical assisting are advantageous.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 24.0 per week
