Medical Assistant

About Us:

Join our busy medical office in Saginaw, MI. We are committed to providing excellent patient care and are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Scribe to support our team with both clinical and administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling patient appointments
• Maintaining a clean reception area and exam rooms
• Checking in and checking out patients
• Collecting co-pays
• Handling electronic filing, faxing, copying, and mail
• Managing a multi-line phone system
• Processing referrals and verifying insurance
• Obtaining prior authorizations from insurance providers
• Rooming patients and recording medical history and vitals
• Serving as a medical scribe for the physician
• Assisting Administrative tasks as needed
• Record and update patient medical histories
• Assist with patient intake and documentation
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures
• Take and record vital signs
• Document patient interactions and physician notes
• Manage electronic health records and ensure accuracy
• Opportunity to train in and perform nerve conduction studies
• Ability to assist with rooming and checkout as needed to provide coverage

Qualifications:

• Strong medical terminology and typing skills.
• Experience in medical assistant/scribing or related roles preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Schedule:

• 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Typing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical Scribes: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
