Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant Needed
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! It will only be for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.. You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Rooming and performing vitals on patients
• Performing vaccinations and IM injections
• Ability to perform Point of Care testing (Rapid strep, flu, pregnancy, mono, UA)
• Some knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM coding and commercial insurance guidelines
• Arrange for patient testing and referrals
• Prepare examination rooms, including restocking of supplies in treatment areas.
• Attendance and punctuality a must
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with coworkers and patients in an effective manner.
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer and enter data in a medical management application
• Handle all clinical duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
• Qualifications:
• Previous experience in healthcare medical office
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual a Plus!
