MAPS Centers For Pain Control is a unique group that founded a practice based on committing ourselves to achieving and maintaining the highest level of medical care in pain medicine in the Midwest.

Our medical team is uniquely qualified to provide a balanced approach to pain management with non-surgical, FDA-approved treatments such as injection therapy, interventional pain medicine, minimally-invasive procedures, combined with holistic and comprehensive therapy modalities including physical rehabilitation, chiropractic, and alternative therapies.

We serve many different people in the Chicago area and are in need of someone who is bilingual (English & Spanish).

We have seven clinic locations throughout the Chicago area to better serve our patients, so we will need the Medical Assistant to have a car and be able to travel to multiple office locations.

Job Responsibilities For Medical Assistant at MAPS Centers For Pain Control:

• Vital all incoming patients (B/P, Pulse, Respirations, Temperature, Height & Weight)
• Obtain consent form for all injections performed
• Correctly notate all injections performed on the injection log
• Able to assist in procedures with providers (draw up medications, use sterile technique, position patient, position fluoroscopy machine)
• Measure patient's glucose prior to procedure
• Perform HCG tests on female patients prior to procedures
• Rename and upload documents into patient EMR Chart
• Sanitize material used for injections, familiar with autoclave use (probes, etc)
• Sanitize procedure room after each use
• Assist with phone calls
• Able to perform medication and supply inventories
• Able to submit orders for medications once they are running low
• Perform urine specimen collection and prepare for lab
• Assist with medication dispense
• Able to perform basic phlebotomy skills
• Basic sharp safety knowledge

The specific locations the candidates are expected to service will be the following: Chicago (IL, near Midway Airport), Hazel Crest (IL), Frankfort (IL), and/or Crown Point (IN).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
