Medical Assistant

Instic Health is an outpatient psychiatry group with multiple offices across FL. We are looking for highly motivated and adaptable individual to perform Medical Assistant duties. The position is consist of administrative and clinical duties.

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):

· Use computer applications

· Answer telephones and provide exceptional customer service

· Welcome patients and answer their queries

· Provide daily reports to general manager

· Schedule appointments

· Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA

· Handle correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping

· Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):

· Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, and other information

· Understand Suboxone MAT Program

· Assist physicians during exams

· Collect and prepare laboratory specimens

· Perform basic laboratory tests

· Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician

· Transmit prescription refills as directed

Position Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Have high school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.

One to two years of experience in an outpatient facility preferably psychiatry.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
