Medical Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will support providers and patients by performing clinical and administrative duties while helping ensure a welcoming, efficient, and professional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, medications, and other relevant information.
• Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Perform clinical tasks within the scope of training and applicable regulations.
• Administer injections as permitted by state regulations and practice protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Schedule appointments and assist with referrals, follow-up appointments, and patient communications.
• Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain examination rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment.
• Follow infection-control, safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with other clinical and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant certification/registration preferred or required according to applicable state and practice requirements.
• Previous medical office or clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
