Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Medical Assistant to join our private practice specialty team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical support, patient care, injection administration and time management. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient clinic operations, delivering exceptional patient service, and supporting healthcare providers with clinical and administrative tasks. Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, oxygen concentration and respiration rates with accuracy.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
• Support physicians with clinical tasks such as medication administration, X-ray procedures, allergy skin testing and pulmonary function testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures.
• Manage medical supplies inventory, assist with ensuring clinical areas are clean and organized according to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical experience as a medical assistant.

• Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and efficient workflow management.
• Experience working within hospital settings including Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred; familiarity with inpatient care protocols is essential.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient service and collaborate effectively with the team.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.50 per hour
