Lone Star Gastroenterology, a prominent and respected gastroenterology practice, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a well-established and growing practice. The practice manages a freestanding outpatient medical center with both clinical and surgical arms.

Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant supports physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions. Duties include:

• Preparing patients for examinations and procedures
• Taking vital signs and documenting patient information
• Assisting during office procedures under physician supervision
• Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, phone calls, and patient follow-up
• Coordinating care with providers and ensuring accurate medical record documentation
• Educating patients on instructions provided by the physician

Skills

• Experience as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA certification preferred)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures is a plus
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bilingual skills are a strongly preferred

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
